Become the driving force for performance and productivity – Establishing HR in Business Operations
SUMMARY
The human resource department is not simply a cost center in your organization - or at least it shouldn't be. The potential of HR can be realized only if the HR staff earns the recognition, speaks the language of business and the business realizes the value of HR. So how do we make this happen?
It starts with changing the mindset of both the business and HR. From the HR perspective, we need to ask four fundamental questions in any organization:
- How does the organization make money and sustain growth? AKA – What business are we in and why?
- Who are the largest/biggest/most important clients and what challenges do they face?
- What are the biggest challenges to our company and what is needed to overcome those challenges?
- How can we partner with the business operations to ensure we conquer the obstacles through increased performance and productivity of the staff?
OBJECTIVES
Specific objectives accomplished in this session will include being able to develop and analyze specific business metrics to measure the performance of the organization and use that information to develop strategies to increase employee performance.
In addition, participants will understand the importance of establishing and maintaining key relationships with the C-Level Suite and learn how to key in on their concerns by focusing on employee productivity.
Finally, attendees will recognize the importance of developing their HR strategic plan in concert with the business operations so both are moving toward the same strategic objectives of the company.
This session has previously been approved for 1 Business (Strategic) credit from the HR Certification Institute.
